History
Naogaon Zilla Parishad Park (Bengali: নওগাঁ জেলা পরিষদ পার্ক) or District Council Park is located in the heart of Naogaon town. Government Girls’ High School, Naogaon Zilla School, and Naogaon Central Mosque are situated around the park.
The park was established during the British period in 1920 AD. Since then, Naogaon town has expanded significantly. It is now located at the centre of the town, at Muktir Mor. The area of the park is 2.46 acres. Naogaon District Council is responsible for its maintenance.

About the Zilla Parishad Park
The Naogaon Zilla Parishad Park has a beautiful deep pond in the middle of it. Sometimes different types of fish can be seen in this pond. The pond is surrounded by many coconut trees and other types of trees.
There are two walkways inside the park. Health-conscious citizens and diabetic patients are regularly seen walking through these walkways. It takes about 3 minutes to cross the inner walkway and 4 minutes to cross the outer walkway at a brisk walk. Men use the outer walkway and women use the inner walkway as per rules.
The park also includes an office room, children’s sports equipment, and a gymnasium at the south-east corner. The park has different opening and closing times during summer and winter.

Park Management
The Zilla Parishad authority appoints one park supervisor, four cleaners, and a night guard for operational maintenance. From 6.00 am to 9.00 pm, the park remains open for public recreation.
The park’s library, located in the east–north corner, contains various books and daily newspapers. It has a librarian and stays open 5.00 pm to sunset during summer and 4.00 pm to sunset during winter.
