Kashimpur Rajbari (Bangla: কাশিমপুর রাজবাড়ি), also known as Pagla Rajar Bari (পাগলা রাজার বাড়ি), is a historic royal palace located in Raninagar Upazila of Naogaon District, Bangladesh.

Location and construction

The palace is situated at coordinates 24°43′21.9″ N, 88°55′30.4″ E, about 13 km west of Naogaon town. It was constructed using lime, surki, and burnt clay bricks.

History

The palace was built by the enigmatic Pagla Raja, a descendant of the King of Natore. After 1947, parts of the estate were abandoned or taken over. The last known ruler was Annada Prosonno Lahiri Bahadur.

Current condition

Only fragments of the palace remain and are deteriorating rapidly. A few temple structures survive, along with parts of the boundary wall.
