Here, we put ChatGPT to the test, exploring its knowledge about Naogaon, one of the 64 districts in Bangladesh. There is a lot of information on the internet about this district. We don't want to go into whether that information is sufficient or not. Rather, we want to see what the sensational AI ChatGPT says about Naogaon district—because ChatGPT is such a scholar who knows everything. The tech world was flooded by OpenAI's artificial intelligence. In a single chat, we tested its knowledge on Naogaon district and Bangladesh by asking 3 questions. Here are the results:

Review of ChatGPT Knowledge Test on Naogaon

This time ChatGPT answered correctly that Naogaon district has 11 upazilas. However, it made spelling mistakes: Mohadevpur was spelled as Mahadebpur. Badalgachhi is also commonly misspelled, even by government websites such as: http://badalgachi.naogaon.gov.bd/en

Review of ChatGPT's Answer

In this last knowledge test, ChatGPT mentioned Paharpur (Somapura Mahavihara) and Jagaddala Mahavihara—both real archaeological sites. However, it made a major location error: Jagaddala Mahavihara is in Dhamoirhat Upazila, not Naogaon Sadar.

ChatGPT also incorrectly claimed that Dhamrai Jagannath Rath is in Naogaon district. This location is incorrect—Dhamrai Rath is in Dhaka District.

Further Review of Knowledge Test on Naogaon

ChatGPT further mentioned three tourist spots: Uttara Gonobhaban, BMDA Park, and Naogaon Pourashava Park. All of these are incorrect for Naogaon district. Uttara Gonobhaban is actually located in Natore district. The other two spots are also misidentified.

Naogaon town does have Zilla Parishad Park in the Muktir Mor area, but that is not Naogaon Pourashava Park. We have no record of any BMDA Park either.
