About Raninagar Upazila
Raninagar Upazila (Bangla: রাণীনগর উপজেলা), also spelled Raninogor, is one of the 11 upazilas of Naogaon district under Rajshahi Division. It has an area of 258.33 sq km and is bounded by Naogaon Sadar and Adamdighi upazilas, Atrai upazila on the south, Nandigram and Singra upazilas on the east, and Manda upazila on the west. Raninagar has two rivers: Little Jamuna and Nagar. The distance from Naogaon district town is 14 km. Like other parts of Naogaon, Raninagar is primarily rural.
Raninagar (town) consists of one mouza with an area of 0.1 sq km and has one railway station.

Naming History of Raninagar
Before it was named 'Raninagar', this area was once visited by Queen Khatteshwar of the Natore Zamindar family. She stayed here for a night, and since then the area has been called Raninagar — literally "Queen's Town".
